Karl A Menninger

Karl A. Menninger (1893-1990) was an American psychiatrist who co-founded the Menninger Clinic in Topeka, Kansas, in 1925. His seminal work, "The Human Mind" (1930), became a key text in the field of psychiatry. Menninger's 1963 book, "The Vital Balance," explored the interplay between mental health and societal factors, emphasizing the need for humane treatment of mental illness.
