“A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within”

Simplified Meaning:

A society won't be taken over by outsiders unless it already has serious problems inside. When people within a country or community start fighting amongst themselves, ignore their common goals, or destroy their own culture and values, they become weak and easy targets. Think about the Roman Empire. It wasn't just outside attacks that caused its downfall. The Romans had internal corruption, power struggles, and ignored their own laws and values, making it easier for other groups to conquer them. So, if we want to keep our communities strong, we should focus on solving our internal problems and working together. Otherwise, those inner flaws will eventually lead to our downfall.
